Anyone have any opinion on a company called Federal Citi Mortgage Banc in Irvine, CA is it broker or Direct L.

1. It's a mortgage broker and direct lender, both services offered, and it's mainly in the LA area. No negative data on it. Being a smaller company though, it would be customary for them to sell the loan to a larger outfit, such as GMAC or Wells Fargo or similar after the loan is made, because the larger corporations are set up better for loan servicing. While researching loan sources, consider also Countrywide Home Loans, because they're quite popular and (so far) receive good consumer feed back.
