alternative home loans besides DITECH? are there other businesses that offer a loan like the freedom loan that ditech offers? I was planning on going thru ditech but I found out they dont do the freedom loan in TEXAS. HELP! NOT AN EQUITY LOAN
Home Loans for bad credit--which ones are trustworthy & reliable? Please understand that I am not interested in searches for this--I can do a Web search myself. I am wondering if anyone has personal experience or knows of someone who has had personal experience with such loan companies. What's the lowest score that has been accepted? What rates did you get? What types of credit issues did you suffer at the time? What was your income range? individual or joint borrower? What price range were you financed for (or what was offered)? How difficult was it? Anyone use Ditech.com? Godged--thanks for the info. I'm not looking for that. I'm just looking for people who have had personal experiences. I appreciate you looking out for me, though.
Has anyone gotten an online loan from Ditech or other company? We want a second motgage for home improvements and to pay off some credit card bills. Is it a good idea to use online motgage companies. What are the pros and cons. Any traps. Some of their rates seem better than our local banks. We have very good credit. Anyone out there that has good or bad experiences let me know.
home mortgage investment loan? We are looking to invest in a fixer upper and are looking for a mortgage investment loan. Countrywide and Ditech are requesting 20-30% downpayment and we are looking to keep the down payment as low as possible. is this typical for everyone or is there someone out there with less requirements?
With perfect credit and $3200/month, can I afford a $200-250k home in TX? I'm 20 years old making around $3,200/month and have $15,000 in the bank that I saved up while living with my parents. I currently have no debt, my credit score is perfect, my car has been paid for and I have no kids. Would I be able to afford a 200k-250k home in the Houston, TX or Sugar Land area? If so, what would be the best mortgage company to finance my home and for the best rate? I'm looking to pay no more than $2000/month for mortgage, insurance, and taxes on the house together. Commercials like Ditech, Quicken Loans, and Lending Tree usually promise a $200,000 loan between $450 and $999 a month. Sounds pretty good, but my mom says it's unrealistic and that for the type of house that I want, I'd be paying well over $2000 a month for the mortgage alone aside from property taxes, utilities, etc. Any advice?
Has anyone had a good experience buying their first home with Lending Tree? My friend said that with okay credit and no down payment, the terms they are offering me are impossible. I hope she's wrong as I already see the house I want and have had the approval letter and ALL the paper work written up with my terms. I'm just told to expect a bait and switch at closing. Also a friend of my said to try ditech. I had a car loan through GMAC that is Ditech so maybe that will help. Any advice? Thanks and God Bless
I have a few mortgage questions? I recently talked to someone at Ditech about getting a home loan for FHA,the man I spoke to said for an FHA loan you have 2,000-3,000 dollars in the bank and be 100% debt free to get one. Is that true? I've never heard of it being that way. Has anyone had any experience with being a first time home buyer and a single parent wanting to buy a home? I want to buy a house instead of renting my life away. If anyone has information, please let me know. thanks.
Refinancing our home. WHo do we go to? We are going to refinance our home. The home is worth 500,000. There is only a 50,000 first mortgage on the home. We want to refinance for 175,000, paying off the first mortgage. My questions are. 1. Who do we approach first. Is it better to go to a mortgage broker, or our bank. 2. What things do we need to look out for. We want a 30 year fixed (we think). We plan on staying here. 3. Do all loans allow you to pay extra principle payments without penalties. 4. What about Ditech.com, and all those other advertisers. We bank with washington mutual. Thanks in advance. We have never done this and are freaked out.
Is borrowing under $100k for a mortgage going to trigger penalties? I was speaking with a DiTech rep. today and he told me that if I borrowed $90k towards a $240k home, I'd have a higher interest rate and that I should take out a $100k loan to avoid that rate, as if Fannie Mae would penalize me. Is this true? And why is Fannie Mae all up in my business?
need appraisal to remove PMI on mortgage, sound right ? I have a fannie mae loan, and have paid down more than 20% of the original value of the home. I called up ditech and they said I need to pay $300 to get an appraisal before they would remove the PMI(private mortgage insurance). I thought this was done automatically when you payoff 20% of the original value of the home. Does this sound right ?
Mortgage- Need help on deciding on which bank to go with? My husband and I are looking to get a first home. We will be getting a 30 year fixed loan. I am having trouble deciding between 2 companies. 1. Ditech. Rate:5.875 APR 6.112. No points. Closing costs $4000 -5000. PMI -will add on about $70 a month. But we could cancel this after about 12 years. B/C of the closing costs I could only pay about 5% dwn pmt. 2. Bank of America. right now they are offering mortgage loans with: NO PMI, No closing cost(or at least very low $700), Under 1 Point, and no app fee. However their rate is higher Rate: 6.5 APR: 6.609 (this seems to be what all the other banks are offering). The monthly pmt's would be about the same as Ditech. B/c of the no closing cost I could pay about 10% dwn pmt. What's causing the indesicion is: No PMI, but high Rate ----Bank of AMerica or Low Rate with PMI. -----Ditech Any help would be great. Thanks for the advice, I will check out indymac bank too. The reply about the extra interst I'd be paying is tax deductable, really helped me decide. I can't do that with the PMI. I'll check in with that other bank first though. We do plan to stay in our house for at least 15 years. I didn't like the fact that with Ditech I would never see anyone is person till closing. Where-as Bank of AMerica is everywhere. =)
