Citi Mortgage? Does anyone have a 2nd mortgage with Citi Financial? I'm thinking about putting one of my mortgages/car loan/and credit card debt together. The guy said I can save $523 a month doing this. Have you done this and it's helped you a lot on money during the month or is this a scam. The fee to do this is $677 but that's put into the loan. Should I proceed? So you’re saying that if I pay off my second mortgage with the company I have it with now, then I put it with the citi mortgage, they own ½ my house now? And they won’t release the title until the full debt is paid?? Ok. So maybe I shouldn’t do it because it sounds really good. I sat down with the man today and then you’re really excited because you can save money but I don’t know how it will affect me in the future. So I know I definitely want to keep my car out of it since I only owe $1,600. Would I have to add my second mortgage or could this citi one be a third…. If you don’t think this is a good idea. Where do you think I can get a debt consolidation loan that would be decent?
I want to renegotiate my mortgage with Citi Mortgage. Where do I start? I have a mortgage with citi. I want to try to renegotiate the terms in order to bring down the payments. I don't know who I would call to start this process. Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone sucessfuly done this?

Does anyone know the number to the dispute department at Citi Mortgage? I have faxed in about 30 dispute letters to the fax number that I was given and have received not ONE response. I would like to know if anyone has a direct number to the Resolution/Dispute office. Thanks, Bobbi B
I need phone numbers for Citi mortgage!? I don't need their main phone number that will get me to a minimum wage operator reading a computer generated script. I need to speak to someone with Knowlege and Power! Can anyone help me find someone? I have questions about my mortgage that require the help of someone with more authority. When I call any of their advertised numbers I get passed from one peon to another. Thank you
What is my chances of Mortgage approval in this crazy Market? I have a file in underwriting with CITI Mortgage. My credit scores are 648,634 and 622. My DTI is around 18%-20%. I have 0 late payments for the last 3.5 yrs.I have been employed in the financing dept. field for 9 yrs. My Broker stated that I possibly could qualify for the My Community Mortgage Program and a stated income loan for first time buyers. But if not I have a 10% down payment on a purchase price of $181,900. The sellers have agreed to a 3% sellers concession ($5,457) for all closing costs. The file went into "Processing" Status today around 1:30 p.m. I didn't get an answer today. Now I can't stand the wait over this long weekend. I'm looking for anyone with some information on my chances of getting approved for this loan?
can you combine your mortgage with credit card? i was wondering if i could combine my citi mortgage with my citi credit card? it would be nice to have just one payment. i didn't know if this was possible, so i figured i would ask. thanks
what is the average time from trustee sale to REO listing? is there an average time the banks are taking to list properties for sale? Citi mortgage to be specific.
What are you thoughts of these big bank CEOs, during the mortgage crisis? I get the feeling that these guys are like MOB bosses. Just read a article about the countrywide Chairman getting tens of millions if not 100 millions in serverance. then there is something about Citi CEO, these are the a-holes that got eveyone in messes and made a ton when times are good, now when times are bad they are still getting millions. These fools should be in jail, not getting millions. Sorry venting my brother foreclosed this year by countrywides ARM..
Who is tired of outsourced customer service? I could not understand the service rep from Citi-mortgage today.I have decided to refinance with another mortagage company because of the time it took to try to get a answer.I never did and had to go to my bank to verify payments were made as I directed.I felt very uncomfortable giving my social security number to a person living in a country with such poverty and corruption as India has.Why do companies think outsourcing is going to keep customers? They lost me.
Why am I charged Private Mortgage Insurance? At closing, I have not found any reference to this. Citi purchased my loan from Principal who did not have this and now we have found our you have been charging us the amount for the service without my consent. I want this resolved now!

searching online for a mortgage broker as suggested in my previous??? regarding refi or equity loan? meanwhile can anyone suggest a few good mortgage brokers. And wouldnt the Rate be determined by my credit currently 625. Also,is it fact that each inquiry will need a credit check and therefore it will post on my credit report which brings the credit score down 3 points per inquiry. I am concerned about this. Im currently at a 625 with a thin crdit file however Im slowly building my credit by making my pymnts to my vehicle and loan and credit card. I will be taking the advice from the posters and look for other alternatives or at best a lower rate. Thank you all very much 3 minutes ago I understand that the appraisal fee's are coming out of my pocket if I am to take the loan through citi financial but they did not say anything about who covers the fee if I dont take the loan. Could I be the one responsible even if I turn there offer down?

Do you think it is safe again to start investing in bank stocks again? With the recent mortgage meltdown, the prices of large bank shares such as Citi and Bank of America etc. have come down crazy. I have Direct stock purchase plans for a few banks. Do you think we're near bottom (not the economy, but the battering of bank shares)? I would like to take advantage of the low prices and in hopes that the dividend yields stay the same.

Will large mortgage banks like BofA, WAMU, drop their wholesale mortgage products? [Please answer this question only if you are a mortgage professional, an MBA, a real estate professional, or someone in a similar profession who is very familar with mortgages] I'm currently an assistant to a mortgage broker and I was very lucky to have worked with one of the ethical mortgage brokers though I will admit that sometimes he over stated some asset figures. I'm not too happy about that--but he would give his clients the best mortgage terms on the cheapest basis. i.e. he didn't charge them points when he didn't need to. However, I'm hearing that the mortgage broker industry may end next year due to the alledged plans of several large banks like BofA (already did it), WAMU, Wachovia, Citi, Indy Mac, Wells, and so on. I've also noticed that these major banks are starting to expand their retail divisions thus making me believe that pretty soon we are aheaded towards a direction where mortgage brokers will become no more. Does anyone else out there believe this to be so?
R investment banks & the finance industry acting responsibly when we get reports like this about Citi? Citi loses almost $10B, slashes dividend By MADLEN READ, AP Business Writer Tue Jan 15, 11:03 AM ET Citigroup Inc. lost almost $10 billion in last year's final three months, the largest quarterly deficit in its 196-year history, and slashed its dividend and 4,200 jobs as it recorded a mammoth write-down for bad bets on the mortgage industry. The nation's largest bank wrote down the value of its portfolio by $18.1 billion and said it was setting aside $4 billion to cover U.S. consumer credit defaults. It signaled further problems in its consumer businesses as deflated home prices, high energy and food costs, and rising unemployment weigh on people's ability to keep up with their payments. The reduction of 4,200 jobs in the fourth quarter is in addition to 17,000 layoffs announced in the spring, and chief financial officer Gary Crittenden said during a conference call that more job cuts would be on the way. Chief Executive Vikram Pandit, who replaced Charles Prince in December, said the fourth-quarter results were "unacceptable", and that he was "not yet finished" in his review of whether any of the global bank's core operations need to be cut or sold. ....." Merrill shares fell 8.3 percent to $50.51 as investors worried about more write-downs and the company's exposure to capital-strapped bond insurers. The start of a booming year for investment banking fees and big bets on subprime mortgages ended in dismal fashion. Merrill's fourth-quarter net loss was $9.8 billion, or $12.01 a share, compared to year-ago profit of $2.3 billion, or $2.41 a share. For 2007, Merrill lost about $8 billion on second-half write-downs and adjustments of about $24 billion. Lax risk management led to the ouster of Stan O'Neal as chief executive while nearly halving the company's market capitalization. Recently named CEO John Thain said in a conference call the world's largest brokerage will ease risk taking but that it has enough capital to move forward after $12.8 billion in infusions from U.S. and foreign investors. But Thain said he could not promise the company will avoid further write-downs on subprime mortgage-related positions. He called the fourth-quarter results "unacceptable." Thain said there would be no dramatic job cuts and added that the company is not interested in selling its stakes in Bloomberg LP and asset manager BlackRock Inc (NYSE:BLK - News). Analysts expected Merrill's fourth-quarter write-down to land anywhere from $10 billion to $15 billion. Actual damages included $11.5 billion in write-downs on U.S. collateralized debt obligations and subprime mortgage-related securities. The company also had to make a negative adjustment of $3.1 billion to reflect soured hedges with bond insurers. ... see ---> http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/080117/merrilllynch.html?.v=1 --> http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080122/ap_on_bi_st_ma_re/wall_street_120&printer=1;_ylt=Av45fFL9O._._laakR5SHT9v24cA
Will be 60 days late on mortgage. what should I do? short sale? I am 30 days late and will be 60 at the end of Dec. I been calling the mortgage company several time and each time, they say I don't qualify for any program and they can not help me at this time. wonder why they will not help?My husband business is slow but we still can make payment at lease $3500 a month. Our mortgage is $5600. I would think they will want to work something out with me since if they take the house, they will loose money. I have subprime loan that is 10% and will go to adj.in feb.2008 which will go 12-16%. What will happen? I try calling them and talking to them but no help from them. What will they do? we have loan with Citi Residential. What else can I do if they won't work with me? should I find someone that is an agent who deal with this kind of stuff?
How arrogant can these pathetic clowns get? I posted a question about the choice between using funds to support our efforts in the tribal war in Iraq and the crises in sub prime mortgages. I got a slew of answers all of which ignored the question in the haste to proclaim how smart they were and how stupid were the people with the mortgage problems as it was all their own fault. Since we have seen the firing of the CEO of Citi Corp (the largest financial institution in the world) over the losses they took, the firing of the CEO of UBC a multi hundred billion dollar bank, the demise of a dozen other CFOs and CEO of financial institutions for not anticipating this problem, how come these super know it alls are sitting home typing and not running these institutions. Clearly they were much smarter than all of these multi millionaires. Of course they did buy the WMD sales pitch of the Bushbaby, or that we are winning (whatever that means) in Iraq. How pathetically arrogant are these cretins? .
I had a foreclosure, Now what? Hello, my house was turned back over in march to the lender (Countrywide). I noticed the home is still not on the market but they now report a $0 balance owned on my credit. I had a second HELOC with Citi Mortgage. It shows as "CBNA" on my credit. They are still showing a balance of $16,000 on my credit but it says "Charged Off" Unpaid balance reported as a loss by credit grantor. Do I still owe the money or what happenes now that it is charged off? I have not heard or recieved anything from anyone but I do want this off my credit as saying I owe that still
Has anyone ever heard of a mortgage company withholding your payoff balance for 7-10 business days? We are in the process of selling our home and recently found a buyer relocating from CA. to KS. with a closing date of Feb 7th. When we called Citi Residential Lending (where our home loan is thru) we were told that we would have to make a request in writing and it would take 7-10 days. The title company faxed a signed request and 3 days later we still can't get anyone from Citi to verify the request is in process. Based on previous experience of selling a home - I was able to get my payoff balance immediately upon request - not a 7 day waiting period. And don't even get me started about how rude Citi has been - not only to us but the TITLE company who is sending them the check. We have contacted the Better Business Bureau & the Kansas State Attorney General & the Kansas Banking Commisioner (who Citi falls under) no help! Any suggestions???? or comments would be appreciated!

What counts more work experience or the school you went to? I'm 21 years old, and through a temp agency I managed to work for several major banks like Bank of America, Citi, and Chase's mortgage department. However in that time I have been attending the California State University, Los Angeles which is not a highly regarded undergraduate school yet it the only public 4-university in Los Angeles that offers business programs in the region + is accrediated by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. I'm planning to apply for an MBA program however most business schools require going to school at night and those private schools that offer night classes are soooooo expensive. When I do the math it just doesn't make sense for me to pay $30,000/yr for school. Doesn't getting an MBA at the state school with work experience count more then just saying "Oh I yet to Stanford and got an MBA" For crying out loud, I can get 2 masters in accounting and finance and I think that would be more then just an iVY league education don't you think? CalState LA's MBA in Finance V.S. USC Finance MBA. I want to go to CalState LA because it's wayyyy cheaper + offers night classes.
I have too much credit card debt but good credit, what should I do? Please help!? I've always paid my creditors on time, never late, I work in finance myself. However this year I went through a divorce and in the last year I've paid for gas, food, even child support with my credit cards and have paid for my car payment and mortgage plus other credit card bills with the income I make from work. In all I have about $30,000 in credit card debt...I own a home with negative equity...I just found out my property taxes went up so my mortgage payment is going up another $300...so now I'm at my ends in which I need to make a big decision on how to keep my home and make the mortgage + car payments + child support and whatever's left apply towards credit cards...I am asking for educated advice on what I should do? should I file for bankruptcy..should I call the two largest credit cards I have (citi & chase) and ask them if they can work out a settlement? should I do cccs? please help with some advice.
Anyone know a thing or two about refinancing with an 80/20 ARM??? I have an 80/20 loan. The 80 is an ARM with a 10 yr libor that had a 6.25% that went to an 8.25% in Feb. The other loan is a 30 yr fixed with an 8.25% rate. My husband is active duty military, so we qualify for the SCRA which locks us in at a 6% rate for as long as he remains active duty, which he intend to do for 20 years. Because we moved for his job, we had to rent out our townhome due to decreasing mortgage prices. We want to refinance to lock in our interest rates, esp since they are now in the 5.75% ranges and make our loans just one. We were told by our lenders (citi) that we have no equity in our home, therefore do now qualify to combine loans, and that refinancing cost will be around 5,000. Also it will be different considering the home is now an "investment" since it's being rented. So my ? is do we keep the loan we have since we're under the SCRA, or do we act now and go for rates that are low.And if so, how do we go about gettin a loan that doesnt require much to put down
Who else hates Citibank? I have a mortgage and 3 lines of credit with them and have never had worse customer service in my life. The loans were all sold to Citi from other lenders so I am kind of stuck. Has anyone else had similar dealings? Rock on! Yeah they lost my mortgage payment in APRIL and still haven't been able to find it! They keep sending me letters and calling me!!!
Have you worked here? Tell me if so...? I am looking into a possible career move and need your help. Have you worked for any of these companies...Bank of America, Americal General Finance, WoodForest National Bank, GMAC, Self Help Credit Union, BB&T, Wells Fargo, Home 123, Citi Finance, Wachovia, Sun Trust, Vanderbilt Mortgage ??? If you have or known someone personaly tell me. I need info such as the overall company culture, salary, benefits, goals, posibilities of promotions and any other info you can add. Please include what state you worked in, what position, How long you were there, your salary, your education. Anything you know about these companies would be appreciated too!!! Maybe you havent worked here but you know of another finance and banking industry that may be something I need to look into..Let me know!
Private Mortgage Insurance, I met the 80\20 based on original value, Lender wants an appraisal anyway.? Is there a legal strongarm letter I can send that basiclly says "You are no longer authorized to collect PMI; remove this charge!" I have been watching and finallly got down to a LTV ratio of 74.51% Citi wants to send thier appraiser to do a full appraisal ($300-$400) to make sure the property has not decreased in value. Any moron could drive by and see the house is worth $41,000 without even dropping below the speed limit. (41K is 80% of the original value in '99) How do I get them to drop it with out paying a $400 hassle charge?
Is it mind set or brain lock? Something is missing. All those officious, pontificating Republicans who blame the mortgage crises on the bad judgment of the lesser species who did not take personal responsibility for their choices of financing their homes but never mention the bad judgment of the banks who made the loans. Stock holders of Citi Bank have seen their investment dive down into the toilet...and yet not a word about the lack of responsibility of the bankers who lost the billions of dollars of their stock holder's money? I appreciate that all bankers are upstanding good republicans, but are they above criticism, being fine, old white money and thus clearly superior beings? While Citi's stockholders were left with empty pockets, the CEO departed with tens of millions as a parting gift. .
I really need advice about my credit cards...? I need to consolidate so bad I can taste it. I have 3 credit cards. Citi balance: $4,600 GNCU balance: $2,900 GNCU balance: $2,775 Total: $10,275 How can I get an unsecured consolidation loan for that amount? Or maybe even two for that amount? I'm in the mortgage business and things are so slow. I make these payments sporadically every month and it's hard when I only get paid one time a month. (And it's not a lot) What do you suggest? I'm in the process of getting a higher paying job and working on the side selling on eBay because I know how to do that well. But I'm, just so broke I feel like I need to consolidate.

why citigroup need capital-injection? I know it suffer from mortgage loan a lot, what i can is the accounting and financial principle of citi's capital-injection.
Citigroup Stocks? Citi stocks have been taking a beating and are about in the $25 dollar range now (cheap compared to past years). Would you invest in Citi with it being a blue chip company, but with all the mortgage mess going on?
Credit Question???? Okay question. I had a delinquent item on my credit report from 2005 ($142.00). I did not find out until 2007 when my credit was pulled for a mortgage loan that it is still showing up as NOT PAID. I called the collections company (in 2007) that reported it and they said that it was paid in 2005 so I asked them to remove it from my credit since it's been there for 2 years showing UNPAID. She said she'd remove it and send me a PAID letter in the meantime. I wrote EQUIFAX to ask for a credit report to verify that it was removed. The report showed that it's now a zero balance. I had my credit pulled again last Friday for a per loan and it too said "delinquent but zero balance." I had my CITI credit card send me a report that I received yesterday that showes it's still UNPAID ? ? (why do different comp's have different info?) How long does a PAID OFF delinquent item remain on my credit as a ONCE DELINQUENT item before it's removed completely? I thought that if one company showed "zero balance" they should ALL show "zero balance." And If paid in 2005, why still on my credit? Also, It showes PAID in OCTOBER 2005 but the collections company did not report it to my credit until NOVEMBER 2005. How can they report it a MONTH AFTER it was paid????? Are they screwing me?
I owe more money on my home part 2... please help? I have contacted everyone possible on my home, I even contacted My Senator, I called momentum but no one called me back to set appointment (they are busy right now), the reason I am upside down is "stupidity" I had a 650 fica score at the time of the loan, but agreed to a 10.5% to start, with the agreement we would refinance 2 years later, but when amc went out of business, Citi financial took over and will not work with me on my loan, as for how I paid 1000.00 on principal in 24 mos, I don't know, is that good? When I was paying over 1200.00 per month back then, it seems I'd get more paid into principal. My house is in need of repairs which I can't do, and after my sons surgery, I most likely won't be able to pay the mortgage either. I know this is my fault, but I just need to find the best way out for all. If I keep the home, It will need repairs. I have tried councelors before (CCC) who took money but never paid certain bills, and ruined my credit anyway.
Why are corporate CEOs resigning over the subprime credit defaults? This is a broad market phenomenon that is affecting the entire financial sector. Are there actually some CEOs of other financial services companies who looked at collateralized loans over the last few years and thought, "No, there's too much exposure here to the subprime market and, since I can tell the future, I know that subprime mortgages are going to start defaulting in record numbers. So we're going to reduce our exposure to this particular investment vehicle"? Of course not. It's not like any other human being in the same position would have managed any differently. So why were Citi's and Merrill's CEOs forced out? This whole thing really has nothing to do with them....
